We are often asked about candle magic – how does it work, what colours should you use etc.
This is my view, based on many years of using candle magic. You can find lots of articles and videos online and the best thing to do is try a few ways, until you find what works for you!
As with most magic, the tools themselves are not magical – it is your intent and desire which charges and transforms the items so that they become your power tools.
In the case of candles, the act of preparation is the most important part of the spell. From the moment that you decide to use candle magic, you have already started your magical work and even your journey to the shops to get the candles, is part of that process. The more energy and effort you put into the process, the more successful it will be.

Ok, I need to come clean and say that I am a patchouli oil addict! I know it can be a heavy scent and that you either love it or hate it, but if you are a fan and want to use it in a different way, try these blends. You can use patchouli directly on your skin but I use a carrier oil such as almond oil or peach kernel oil to get the additional moisturising benefits. Have a play with your favourite scents and see what you come up with - share them here!

If you are new to tarot, you may wonder what to do with them apart from "predicting the future"
Tarot cards are great meditation tools. You can think about a card picked at random or select one that has meaning to you and let your mind relax as you look at the images and imagine yourself within the card. Sometimes, in the right state of mind, you find yourself on a journey and meet the characters of the tarot who may have a message for you.
Or try a daily three card spread:
What do I need to concentrate on today (yourself)
What do I need to be aware of (how you relate to the outside world)
What can I look forward to (how the outside world will influence you)
This is one of my favorite sites http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/learn/meanings/
and this link will take you to a page which gives information about each of the 78 cards.
There is also a huge database of different decks with images and reviews from experienced readers.
